Hi I'm Rachael Bunt

I live in Boise, Idaho. I'm a BSU Bronco fan. I work full time and love being a wife and mom. I'm also a Mormon

About Me

I have been married for almost three years and have one daughter. I love to dance and goof off. I work full time for the State of Idaho and I love my job, although I would prefer to be at home. Luckily my husband can be at home with our daughter because he runs a home based business. I love sharing my beliefs with others and some day I would love to see my family come to church with me. I have been a member for four years. My goal is to be able to home school my kids and teach them through life experiences. I love the outdoors and learning about the environment. I have a degree in Biology and I want to share what I know with my children. I also have many other hobbies like reading, camping, working out, hula hooping, and spending tons of time with my family. Family is the most important thing in my life besides the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I got baptized because I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ. The gospel, and the plan of salvation that the LDS Church believes in and teaches is the only plan that truly makes sense to me and I believe without a doubt that there is only one gospel. There is so much empirical and logical proof of Joseph Smith's testimonies that I can't deny them. The gospel is absolutely perfect and I see its blessings in my everyday life. When I was first learning about the church I would have considered myself agnostic or atheist. I didn't really believe in God or Jesus Christ. I understood science and evolution and that was it. After meeting with missionaries and having discussions about science and thinking about non living things I realized how complex our world really is and that evolution alone could not explain it. There had to be more. Once I was able to accept that, I had to look at the evidence in front of me. Joseph Smith was just a boy when he first got revelation from God. His life and his testimony prove that what he was teaching was not made up or a lie. It didn't make sense for him to make up the translation to the Book of Mormon and it was too complex for that to even be an option. After reading the Book of Mormon I knew that it was inspired by God. Just by reading the words in that book I can see my life improving and feel myself changing from the inside out. I am a better person, and I feel closer to Jesus Christ. It is such a wonderful feeling to have. I am blessed when I am obedient to the commandments and I feel joy and peace when I read the gospel and pray. There is no other explanation than simply, God is real, and Jesus Christ is real.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing what I believe with others. I also try to live the gospel to the fullest and be as kind and generous as I can. I love to visit women in my ward and getting to know them, and seeing if they need anything. I also enjoy sharing my testimony of Jesus Christ during sacrament meetings.
