Hi I'm Dani Figueroa

I'm from Chile. I enjoy working with the youth and children. I love visual arts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and bicycling. I also like painting, drawing, writing and reading. I love animals, they are such sweet spirits of God. I have volunteered helping children and refugees doing arts and crafts, teaching English and renewing old building. I enjoy learning about different cultures and languages. I think diversity is amazing and we need it in order to become what Heavenly Father wants us to become.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert. I chose to follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ because I felt his love for me. I felt the guidance that he wanted to give me even when I couldn't see it clearly yet. My spirit felt full of joy and peace. Although it was hard at the beginning, Heavenly Father strengthen me and blessed me with faith to give the first step and then continue moving forward non-stop. I continue to follow His gospel because, I know is true, no matter what there is plan for each and everyone of us. There is an unlimited love and mercy waiting for us if we choose to and with it peace and everlasting joy. It has helped me see the positive in my life and has helped me move forward. I want to continue because His gospel helps me see the beauty in everything. His gospel also helps me see the blessings which He has prepared for me. I'm thankful for everything.

How I live my faith

I have had callings to teach little children, the primary. It is beautiful to teach them. Their spirits are so sweet and humble, full of joy and love to give. They were and still are amazing. I have had callings with the youth as well, the young women. They are funny, sweet and full of strength to do what's right, I could see it in each and one of them. I have had the privilege to organize girls camp for them as well. It was such a strong spiritual experience I loved it. The girls met each other, experienced the spirit, and what Heavenly Father has prepared to teach them. I'm thankful that for that. I have also had the chance to teach the women older than 19 years of age, the relief society. I have learned a lot from their experiences as well as the value of sharing experiences. Learning from each other and from the spirit has helped me a lot.
