Hi I'm Max

I love music, sports, and people. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of 8 kids, and I love my family more than just about anything. My parents are my heroes, and I learn more from my younger siblings than they could ever learn from me. I attend Utah State University, and am an Aggie through and through. I love to learn. I love to play tennis, basketball, football, frisbee...you name it. Sports are kind of an unhealthy obsession of mine. I've played the piano since I was 6, and been singing since I was 14. I love the great outdoors. I love to camp, hike, walk, and work outside. I'm a happy, happy person, and I love to get to know new people, and to spend time with the people I love. Everyone is a friend!

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed enough to be born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and was raised in a household that taught and held true to righteous and correct principles. I cannot begin to mention the blessings that being a member of the church has brought into my life. The gospel brings me more happiness, peace, comfort, strength and joy than I could ever imagine possible. The fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth in this dispensation, by the Lord's prophet Joseph Smith, and that gospel is found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Though it is hard sometimes, I testify that by living by its principles and precepts, we can be happier, stronger, more peaceful, and more filled with love and joy than we ever thought possible. This is the true church, the only true church, and I am so grateful to be a member in it.

How I live my faith

My current calling is as a ward missionary, which I love. It's great preparation for my full-time mission. I get to work with those in the ward who are less active, inviting them to come to activities, and even teaching them about basic tenets of the gospel. I also get to work with other missionary minded members of the ward who teach me immense amounts about how to be a better missionary. I also have a sacred call from the Lord to serve as a full time missionary in the Mexico Mexico City South Mission, and I could not be more excited to begin that full-time service. One of the most absolutely vital aspects of being a member of this church is to be a representative of Christ at all times, in all things, and in all places. I do my very best to be kind to others, to show love to my fellow men, and to always live and represent the gospel standards and teachings every day of the week, in all my activities. Being a Mormon goes beyond just Sunday worship.
