Hi I'm Kay

I'm hopelessly optimistic, I'm a registered nurse. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love life and feel that I'm very blessed to alive at this time. I like to stay busy so I have many activities from bike riding, journaling, reading ( I don't have as much time for reading as I like so I listen to audio books when I'm driving) , working as an RN in longterm care, being with my wonderful family, family history, gardening, sewing, knitting or crocheting, and basically anything domestic, and continuing to learn new things, I love warm summer weather, as long as its not too hot, I say I'm solar powered because I'm at my best when it's warm and the sky is at least mostly clear. Too bad I live in an area of the country that has more cloudy days than clear days. Oh, well.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are true. The Holy Spirit has born witness to me of the truthfulness. As I've searched and studied my belief has been strengthened by knowledge and further witnesses. They, my belief and knowledge, are so strong now that I can't see any other way to be.The gospel is simple and simply beautiful. What I've studied and prayed about has lead me to believe that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will help me become Christ-like and worthy to return to my Heavenly Father, and his son Jesus Christ; who is my savior. My main goal in life is to be worthy to return to them along with my family. I see much confusion and unrest in this world. I feel bad for people who do not know who they are, where they've come from or where they're going. Once you know where you've come from then it's easy to know who you are. I love helping people know who they are. If you know the answers to those questions you'll feel more peace and less unrest in yourself. You, too, will see what a wonderful world we live in, how truly bearutiful it is, just how great life is, and most importantly that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you unconditionally because to them you are of infinite worth. Through studying the gospel I've come to know that our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ love us so much that if we were the only ones of his children that needed the atonement. The atonement would still have occurred and there never would have been bad feelings about it or towards us. We are loved that much. The world may tell us that we are nothing, but the gospel tells us differently. That we always have been and always will be equally loved and of infinite worth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be as Christ-like as I can in all my dealings. I've decided to always look for the best in every situation.I know Heavenly Father loves us all the same and he always will, no matter what. There's nothing we can do, even in out wildest imagination to change that or stop his love for us. I can use events as stepping stones or stumbling blocks; I've decided to always use them as stepping stones, no matter what the circumstances. I've come to realize that I can chose to feel positive emotions or negative emotion. It's my choice, but I chose the positive emotions.I feel life is way too short and wonderful to be cluttered with negative emotions that will keep me from living life to the fullest and life should be enjoyed to the fullest.I search for the goodness and beauty in everyone and every situation. So far I haven't been disappointed, I've always found it. It just took a little longer sometimes.
