Hi I'm Zach

I'm Egyptian, Japanese, Greek and Saudi Arabic. I love outdoors and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying Public Health. I was born in Orange, CA to wonderful parents and raised in the United states and South America. My mother is Greek and Japanese and my father is Saudi, Egyptian and Caucasian. I have lived Washington State, Santiago Chile, Ohio, Colorado and Utah. I am an avid camper and hiker. I fly fish and rock climb, wake board and slalom ski, and I love exploring the outdoors. I plan on attending Medical School and studying to become a researcher. I'm a return missionary and I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes life easier and it makes me happy! With so many different directions you can take in life, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints offers me a constant course I can trust in. I haven't always believed that the church is true. I, like many members of the church, have a personal conversion story that involved reading scripture and praying for answers. Once I knew it was true life gained greater meaning, I found deeper peace and desired to share it with others. That is when I decided to serve a two year mission for the Church. I know that God lives and is aware of us. He loves us and desires our safe return to Him. I know that through prayer and study God will answer our prayers. I know that He has great plans for us if we allow Him to guide our lives.

How I live my faith

I am a perfect example of a non-perfect Mormon, I'm actually quite typical of most Mormons. I live everyday trying to be a better person. I believe that everyone makes mistakes but that those mistakes can be corrected through repentance. In my church I am currently serving as a member of a committee that feeds students after church once a month. I love my calling because I can interact with people my same age and I eat great food all of the time. I'm also in charge of a community service center that goes to a small ranch once a week to aid in cleaning horses and stalls. The horses are used for therapy of children with autism and down syndrome. Serving at Horses for Healing is a rewarding experience that blesses me and those I serve.
