Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Oklahoma. I'm at college in Utah studying art. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love skiing, longboarding, drawing, painting, reading, and pretty much any sport you can think of. I grew up with all brothers, so I've always loved being active and playing sports. I'm currently going to college working on a Studio Art degree. I like painting and charcoal drawing the most. I'm always up for a fun adventure with friends, I love my family more than anything, and I love making people smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I started my life as a Mormon. Both of my parents are Mormons, so I grew up in the faith. It's always been a Mormon lifestyle for me, and I've never known anything different. However, once I moved out and went to college, I realized that I could choose to leave the church if I wanted to. But I don't want to. I may have grown up as a Mormon, but continuing to be a Mormon is my choice. Being a Mormon and having a knowledge of this gospel brings a happiness into my life that can't be replaced by anything else. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know that I am a child of my Heavenly Father, that He loves me, and that prayer is my personal connection to Him. I know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God, just like The Bible, and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I know that there is a living prophet on the earth today, Thomas S. Monson, who has the same power as the Biblical prophets. I know that the leaders of this church are called of God, and that they lead the church with His authority. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for my sins and that the Atonement is Christ's ultimate gift to me. I know that through the Atonement, I can be forgiven of my sins. I truly do love this gospel, and my life is blessed everyday because of my testimony.

How I live my faith

At church, I'm a teacher. I teach usually three out of the four Sundays a month, and I love every minute of it. I sing in the church choir, I participate in service activities, and I love going to fun church socials.
