Hi I'm Sister Thornock

I'm from South Carolina. I ran in high school. Senior year, I won the state championship race for the 800 meters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Northern California, then when I was 11 we moved to South Carolina. I played soccer from the time I was 5 until freshman year of high school when I started running cross country and track. I was 1 of 5 LDS students at my high school, so we definitely had to establish our own testimonies and be as good of an example as possible because people were watching. It was a good experience for me though because I was able to go from my parents' testimonies to finding my own, and it has made me the person I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a Mormon because I know this gospel to be true with all of its entities. I know the Book of Mormon to be true doctrine along with the Bible and the words of living prophets. Not only have I had spiritual confirmation about the Book of Mormon and the prophets on the earth today, but it all just logically makes sense if one believes in God and His infinite love for us. The Book of Mormon is logically accurate, and I know that our Heavenly Father would take living prophets off this earth if He truly loved us. I know all of this to be true!

How I live my faith

I am able to live my faith in a lot of ways throughout my week. I am blessed to be attending Brigham Young University where most of the people that I interact with are LDS, and it is so great to be able to openly discuss gospel topics over dinner with some of my closest friends. I also live my faith through the callings I have been blessed with. In my previous ward, I planned activities every week for a group to be able to have fun and build relationships through the blessing of the gospel.
