Hi I'm Daniel

I'm from a family of 7 children. I enjoy the outdoors and sports. I enjoy singing and playing the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently attending college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I recently returned from a 2 year mission on behalf of my church to Donetsk, Ukraine speaking in the Russian language. I love to learn new things. I enjoy playing all sorts of sports, from volleyball to tennis. I also greatly enjoy many types of music and spend some of my free time playing this music on the piano while singing along. I also enjoy reading historical fiction novels and am fascinated by our world's history. I also love spending quality time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church since I was child. I couldn't have asked for a better upbringing by parents who loved and cared for me. Though I had a strong belief that this gospel was true in my early years, I knew their would come a time when I would have to know for myself that these things were true. I read the scriptures, attended church, and did my best to follow what the Lord wanted me to do. I prayed sincerely to him that I would be able to receive some kind of answer so that I could know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was truly his church on this earth, led by a living prophet and apostles guided by His hand. After diligently seeking this answer for months, one evening while pondering my feelings, I realized that he had been giving me answers all along. Each time I had been doing what knew I should have, I had felt His spirit, the Holy Ghost, confirming in my mind and heart that these things were true. I then realized that I had known all along, without a doubt, that these things were true. I am grateful for a loving and understanding father in heaven who is always there for us and for his son, Jesus Christ who suffered, bled, and died for each of us. Because of this knowledge I have of my Father in Heaven, his son Jesus Christ, and his plan for me, I can testify to the truthfulness of these things and know they are true and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the way I interact with those around me. I try my best to look for ways to serve and help others who may be struggling. I currently serve on the activities committee within my church group. Our focus is to include as many people as possible in fun, well planned activities. I also have the opportunity to watch over a few young women and men in our ward and visit with them each month, sharing a spiritual message and seeing what we can do to help them. I also enjoy singing in our ward choir.
