Hi I'm Connor

I grew up in Heber City, Utah. I used to tutor kids at my high school in Math. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am studying to become a Math major. My parents and I love to go to Moab, Utah to see the beautiful red rock country. I like to do all sorts of activities but most of all I enjoy just sitting down and talking and visiting with close friends and family. When I was five years old my parents got divorced and I grew up without my father in the home. I still see him and hear from him regularly. My mother remarried when I was nine years old and my stepfather has been a worthy and loving husband to her and a great father figure in my life. I feel honored to know that I have such loving parents. For the most part I have lived a pretty regular life. I went to school, got decent grades, worked at a restaraunt for money, and tried to live my life as best as I could.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into my faith. For a long time I never knew any other life than what I was living. There came a time in my life however when I decided that I needed to know for myself whether or not that this church was true. I thought about everything that this church had taught me and I considered each principle. I prayed to God about each principle the church teaches to know if it was true but most of all, I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true. After much prayer I felt a warmth come over me, and there was a peaceful feeling in my mind. I can say without a doubt that the LDS church is the one true church on this Earth. I know that God lives, that He loves us, and that his Son, Jesus Christ, suffered and died for our sins, that we could return to live with him again. I believe in the Book of Mormon. It is, like the Bible, a Testament of Jesus Christ. I would encourage anyone who is seeking for truth, to do as I did. Read from the Book of Mormon, and pray to know if it is true. Through the power of the Holy Ghost, you can know the truth of all things, just as I did.

How I live my faith

I grew up in a ward that to this day I consider my family. Everyone was so close and we all cared and looked out for each other. Whenever someone in the ward needed something, there was no hesitation, we all came to help and support each other. Every winter the young men in the ward would shovel the snow off of the driveways and sidewalks of the elderly and widowed homes. One home that I would shovel was a woman who lived just across the street from me. It warmed my heart every time she came outside to show us her smiling face and told us how grateful she was. Service is something that we try to live by all the time. As a church we are always willing to help out those in need regardless of their faith, beliefs, or opinions of us. As members of our church we try to our best to live as Christ would. Of course, everyone makes mistakes. We are no exception. But as we strive to live his teacings, we grow stronger and closer. We follow Christ's example so that we can live again with God our Heavenly Father. I am currently sering a mission for my church in the England London South Mission. I will be spreading the gospel for a full two years, leaving behind all personal affairs. I will be in contact with my family only by email once a week. Other than that I will be working non stop to spread this glad message to the people of England so that they might be as happy as I am with this Gospel.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

God lives. He has created everything from the Earth that we live on, to the many stars that light up the night sky. From the fish in the sea to the birds in the sky. There is order in the universe. All the different forces in the universe such as gravity and electricity are too perfect. These forces are what allows us to live and breathe and enjoy life. God has created the universe for us because he loves us and wants us to have the best experiences we can have on Earth. For me, the most powerful evidence that God lives is the human body. We are far superior to all other species on the Earth. We have the ability to adapt, learn, and grow to any situation. We can experience all different forms of emotion that we can't even explain. When you look at a newborn child, do you not wonder of how it came to be? How the first humans came to be? God loved us so much that he gave us bodies that we may feel, learn, love, and grow here on Earth. He loves each and every one of us and he wants us to return to live him again. We can speak with him and know he is there through the power of prayer. Prayer is how God and his children can communicate. We can talk to him as simply as we can with our earthly father. If you want to know if God is there and how much he loves you all you need to do is kneel down and pray to him and he will answer you. I know this to be true. Show more Show less
