Hi I'm Tayla

I love music. I'm a college student at BYU. I love little kids. I am now serving a mission in Iowa. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm the oldest of 7 children and I absolutely love it. In high school I participated in Choir, Orchestra (I play the violin), track and Cross Country. I love singing, reading and being with my family. I just finished my 2nd year at BYU and got into my major: Communication Disorders. I want to be a speech pathologist and work with Elementary school children with adorable lisps. I absolutely love college and the people there. I love being outdoors and rock climbing, hiking, playing frisbee, or just laying in the sunshine. I also love playing games or watching movies with friends, especially funny or inspiring movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because through studying of the scriptures, heartfelt prayer, and answers to those prayers from Heavenly Father I have come to know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Joseph Smith was truly a prophet led by God who was guided to translate the Book of Mormon and to restore the church which Christ established with all its truths back on the earth. I know that God loves all of His children and that following His commandments can help us to have true happiness and peace in our lives and the strength to overcome any trial we encounter in life. I know that because of the priesthood authority which was restored to the earth, that families can be sealed for all eternity. I am grateful that my family is sealed together and that we will get to live together forever after this life. I know that Christ suffered for my sins and that He understands from experience every pain, sickness, and trial I will ever have. I am so grateful for Christs comfort and guidance in my life. He is my best friend and I cant imagine what my life would be like without him

How I live my faith

I love participating in church choir and have since I was 8 and started going with my Dad. I love working with children. Last summer I got to work in the nursery and primary with children of ages 1-6 or so. Their sweet spirits and simple faith inspire me. I also had the opportunity this last year at school to be on the compassionate service comity which was so fun. We got to do acts of service for many of the girls in our apartment complex like making dinner for someone who was sick, or giving someone who was feeling overwhelmed with school an encouraging note and goodies. I have noticed in my own life the truth that when you are serving others and trying to make them happy, you are blessed and feel so much happier. It makes life so much sweeter and worthwhile when you focus on serving those around you.
