Hi I'm Pamela

I was born in Florida and have lived all over the USA. I love working with children with special needs. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of 4 children of my own and 4 from my husband so a total of 8. I have 7 grandchildren with one on the way in Jan. 2014. I was divorced after 22 years of marriage but looked forward and have now been married for over a year. I have been a hair dresser for 25 years but have learned that I love working with children with special needs (autism etc.) so I'm going back to school in the fall at the age of 50. It's a huge jump for me but I know with the help from Heavenly Father I can and will accomplish my goal. I love serving in my community and looking for ways to help others. My greatest joy is seeing a child that has a special need overcome something and become more than they were ever expected too. I love singing and spend a lot of time singing with community choirs in our area.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a very hard family. My family joined the church just before I turned 8. I was baptized when I was eight but my family never went to church after that. We moved back East and finding a church was difficult so my dad wanted to join another church but my mom said "NO" My dad was abusive and my mom finally said that was enough and she started a new life on her own with my siblings. I at that point didn't think Heavenly Father or Jesus loved me and I was all alone, until I decided to read the Book of Mormon for myself at the age of 12 or 13. After reading that book and praying I realized that I wasn't alone and that Heavenly Father loved me more than I could ever imagine. I served a mission for the church in New Zealand and gain a love for the people there. Came home and married after a while from being home 22 years later my testimony of the gospel was tested again when my husband left my children and I for a different life style. What I can tell you is that I have come to know my Heavenly Father personally and I know with all my heart that he loves each of us on a very personal level. He wants us to be happy and to have joy. He blesses my life everyday and I'm so grateful for the strength I have received from him. I have a family together with him. I have been so supported by my church family that even in my roughest times I have had someone to turn to. I have seen miracles happen in my life and the lives of those around me. I know that the Book of Mormon is from our Heavenly Father to bring us together and help us heal from the wounds of life. I know the atonement of Christ is for everyone not just a select few. I'm grateful for forever families knowing I will have them with me forever brings me such peace and comfort. I am truly learning and hope to someday become the servant my Heavenly Father sees that I can be. I know these things with all my heart to be true. I only wish for others to feel the same.

How I live my faith

I love serving in my ward (church) I have worked for many years teaching the children how to sing. I have been teaching girls from 16 to 18 in church every Sunday and love the spirit I feel from them. I am at the moment organizing a huge activity (parade, dinner, entertainment and games) for our community for the 24th of July. A celebration for the state of Utah's birthday. I spend time each month visiting ladies in my church and look for ways to help those you are in need. I have had so much joy helping them. I have a son that served a mission for our church in Switzerland for two years and have another one serving now in France. I will have another son leave next year to do the same thing. I love helping the community when ever there is a need.
