Hi I'm Palmer Turley

I grew up in Missouri. I love basketball and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah and moved to Missouri when I was very young. I have lived in Missouri for as long as I can remember. There are eight people in my family. My parents, three older brothers, two older sisters, and me. I grew up in a small rural community of about 1800 people. I enjoy sports, music, and hanging out with friends. My hobbies are playing basketball, playing the piano, the guitar, and the trumpet. Right now I am nineteen and I am living in Japan!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church since I was born. I have been taught the gospel and the scriptures since I was a small child by my loving parents. Even though I went to church and participated a lot as a teenager, I never thought that I really knew for myself that the church or it's teachings were true. I was troubled by this thought and I decided to find out for myself. I have never had any strong experiences where I knew without a doubt that the church is true. But, over a long period of time, I was able to gain that knowledge and testimony for myself. Now I do know without a doubt that this church is true. Every time that I think of the church and the gospel of Jesus Christ I am filled with happiness.

How I live my faith

All my life I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was baptized when I was eight years old. When I was a teenager I had a very active role in the youth program of the church. Since being a member I have had a lot of happiness in my life. I love to share that happiness with others by serving in my community whenever I can.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Palmer Turley
To me almost everything tells me that there is a God. There are so many beautiful things in the world such as the flowers and animals. All of nature is beautiful. Because of that I know that there is a God. All of the wonderful things in the world could not have come about by chance. There had to be someone who created them. That someone is God. What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Palmer Turley
There is more to this life than making money and trying to reach the top of the ladder. The purpose of this life is to learn and to grow. The best we can learn and grow properly is through the gospel. Or the teaching of Jesus Christ. Every time we make the right choice we move closer to our goal. The purpose of the gospel is to show us which choices are wrong and which choices are right. Show more Show less
