Hi I'm Sam

I adore my family. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE being a wife and a mother. I graduated from BYU in Family Life. Married for almost 7 years to my very best friend. We grew up attending the same church but didn't date until college (he's a few years older). We have quite the love story!! I love to spend time with my children especially as they discover new things. Their sweet giggles remind me why I am here and what is most important. I love to sing at the top of my lungs, dance in the kitchen and make my little ones laugh. They are my biggest fans! I really enjoy documenting our family life with pictures through blogging and journaling. I have several hobbies and I rotate through them depending on my interest level. This list includes reading, digital scrapbooking, sewing, knitting and crocheting, hiking, camping and I'm sure there are more. I truly live to love and love to live!

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth I knew what could bring me true happiness but didn't always embrace it. I believe in second chances. I think everyone wants to be happy. I am a member of the LDS church because living the gospel of Jesus Christ is what brings me true happiness. I have felt it and I do feel it as I live it. I am constantly amazed at the puzzle of life. As I reflect on certain experiences, I have come to realize that nothing happens coincidentally. Each experience is like a puzzle piece that fits together perfectly for our own good. We have a loving Heavenly Father who knows exactly what we need and when. God's laws are not punishments but amazing blessings. He wants to bless us. He knows the bigger picture. If we do what He asks we will experience so much joy. Being a parent has opened my eyes to the love that you can feel for another person. I know just as I love my children my Heavenly Father loves me. Truthfully, he loves me more perfectly than I could ever love. I want to be like Him and like my Savior Jesus Christ. We are never forgotten. He will never stop loving us. Sure, at times He disagrees with the choices we make but He is willing to help us make better choices if we would only turn to Him. I know this because I had to learn this for myself. Like I tell my 2 year old, "Making bad choices makes us feel yucky!" This life is about choices. I know that we truly must be different from the world to make a difference. I love this gospel. There is such power in knowing that my family will be together forever if we make good choices. I love them more than words can say and look forward to spending forever with them.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by asking God to guide me each day and then listening when He does. I believe God gave me the gift of being observant. I love to observe and then serve whether it be taking cookies and a note to a friend that needs comfort, making new friends, smiling and complimenting others, being willing to listen when needed, helping someone in a bind, or whatever the Lord feels that person needs. I long to be an instrument in His hands. I love to teach and learn with children. I currently teach the 5 year old's at church and they are quite fun!
