Hi I'm Steve

I am a husband and father, a physical therapist and a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy going on dates with my wife, spending one-on-one time with my kids, and playing sports. Recently, I have taken up Frisbee golf and really enjoy the challenge. I also like reading books from Harry Potter and The Hunger Games to Patriot Games and Enders Game.

Why I am a Mormon

A close friend once asked me why he needed to repent. He felt that he was a good person and tried not to harm others--so what is there to repent for? At the time, I didn't know how to respond but since then I have grown out of my teenage sense of invincibility and have had many years of experience to show me that regardless of how good we strive to be we make mistakes and we cause ourselves and others pain. Our sinless Savior, Jesus Christ, has paid the price for those mistakes and only he knows how we feel when we suffer. He can be our support and He can remove the pain and the sin. When we kneel in repentance with sincerity, we will receive forgiveness. I have learned that forgiveness is a wonderful thing and it can bring joy to one's heart. I have learned that striving to be like Christ and serving others can also bring happiness and purpose to one's life. Finally, I have learned that there is hope for the future both in this life and the life to come. My family can be together forever. Much of my knowledge in this respect comes from gaining a testimony of the Book of Mormon and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith through service. The service that I render makes the world around me a better place and it makes me a better person.
