Hi I'm Kyla

I'm going to be a missionary in Sacramento, California. I love cooking, music, and the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am student in Utah majoring in communication disorders so that I can one day be a speech therapist. I love going to school and being able to learn so much about so many different topics. I love cooking and baking. I read cookbooks like novels. My favorite thing to make are cupcakes! So many good things can go into one small treat. I love listening to music. I love how it can unify people and create similar reactions or feelings through the different melodies. I love playing the piano and have started to learn to play guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life. My parents raised me in the church and I have followed it my whole life. I always depended on my parents belief in the church when I was young. However, as I began to mature and make more decisions for myself, I had to decide if being Mormon was something that I really wanted to do. I have discovered that the church is the only thing that brings me true joy, peace, and happiness. Because of the gospel, I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that through him I can repent of my sins and become more like Him to eventually live with Him again. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that He can help and guide us through all our trials. I know the Book of Mormon is a record of the people of the Americas during Christ's reign and that that book is true and the word of God. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today that can give us guidance and direction in our every day life as we try to draw closer to Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. I love that we have modern day personal revelation on this earth today. I know that Heavenly Father still wants to speak with us today. The gospel simply makes me happy.

How I live my faith

At church I had had the chance to serve as an organizer of family home evening. In our church, each Monday night we have family night. I help to organize activities for single people in my area. We have a lot of fun! I am about to leave for a full time mission for our church in Sacramento, California for a year and a half. I will have the chance to teach people about our church and help them to come to know our Savior, Jesus Christ, more as they come unto Him.
