Hi I'm Susan Westbroek

I live in Syracuse Utah. I grew up in South Jordan Utah. I'm a mother of 4 kids who love soccer! . And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a mother of 4 - 2 boys and 2 girls. I have one son who just returned from a mission in Minnesota and have a son serving a misison in the West Indies. I love my family and spending time with them. We love to camp, fish, ride 4 wheelers, and hike. All my children have played on competitive soccer teams so I attend many soccer games! I love to read, do embroidery, and laugh! But I especially love my Savior Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this Church! I believe that the Savior established His church when He was on the earth and that Joseph Smith restored the church once again. I have been a member of this church all of my life. I have never questioned whether this church is true or not. I have always known in my heart that it is true and have never had a reason to question it. I have had to many experiences to doubt the truthfulness of it. I have had the Holy Ghost testify to me that I am not alone in my trials. That my Savior knows me and understands all that I go through because He went through them for me with the Atonement. I have had many prayers answered and because of this I know that my Heavenly Father is very much aware of me and loves me. The Church of Jesus Christ teaches us to love one another. There is nothing this church does or makes us do that brings sadness into our lives. This church brings me joy. People at times may think that the church asks to much of them. But we are free to choose for ourselves. And I choose to follow my Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the Plan of Salvation which I like to call the Plan of Happiness because I know that through obedience to the commandments of our Heavenly Father we will have true happiness. And this is the desire for myself and my family - to be happy!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the basic things that our Savior Jesus Christ taught us we should do. I start and finish my day off with prayer. I try to remember that everything I have been given is a blessing from my Heavenly Father and I thank him for all that I have. I also live my faith by reading my scriptures. I am very thankful for ancient prophets who testified of Jesus Christ and taught us that we should pattern our lives after our Savior. I feel that it is very important to attend church meetings so that my testimony can be strengthened each Sunday. I feel that the most important thing I can do to live my faith is to show others not only by what I say but by my appearance and countenance that I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I want everyone that I meet to never have to question if I am a Christian.
