Hi I'm Kennerley

I'm an English major. I harbor daydreams of changing the world. My name is a font. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student. I'm majoring in Humanities because I could only choose one major, and it seemed the closest to studying everything. Stories enchant me. I took a class trip to France my senior year of high school, and fell in love with the language, the culture, and the food, and subsequently with traveling as well. I read and cook voraciously, enjoy a good pun now and again, and am working to improve the world we live in through whatever means possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love it. I grew up in the church, but it was my own decision to stay in it. I love the teachings, the stories, the examples I'm surrounded with. And I love the simplicity of it all: God loves me. It is a perfect balance of faith and logic. I am free to choose my own path, but I need not walk it completely blindly. I have a Heavenly Father who truly is my spiritual father. It encourages me to improve myself daily, and become the person I can be.

How I live my faith

In high school, I most vividly remember going with my church to the rescue mission in my home town and feeding the hunger. It was there that I realized how thick the air is with stories. I currently help teach the children in my family ward, which is an adventure in itself. I hope to go to Mozambique next summer and teach self-reliance to the villages there. I am also writing a personal splog (what I call a spiritual blog) about my thoughts and experiences in studying and living the gospel.
