Hi I'm Ryan

I've lived in Rochdale all my life, i am sometimes really forgetful. I love my Family. i am a mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Rochdale for 18 years (which is all my life). Although it isn't the most exiting of places i have grown to love the place. I have a large appetite for adventure and want to explore many culture's of the world. I love diversity and enjoy listening to my friends who are from different parts of the world as they tell me stories of how life's different for them. I was brought up by my grandma, an lived with one of my three siblings, my other sister is a musician an i love listening to her music. My youngest brother was adopted while he was really young, i see him twice a year and love him so much. It makes you realize how important family is.

Why I am a Mormon

I love to tell people why i joined the church, many of my friends ask this and if i was told 6 months before i was baptized, in a year i would be a Mormon my response would likely have gone like this "hahahaaa! Whats a Mormon!" So the first time i saw the missionaries i was on a bus with some of my friends and we over heard them talking to some people, an one of my friends made a comment which they obviously didn't agree with, so he decided to talk to us and we gently mocked his religion as i was brought up as an atheist. so we said goodbye an i got off the bus. Later that day i was playing football so i had to catch a bus to where i was playing, little did i know the two missionaries where on the same bus, they looked unusually happy for 18/19 year old boys sat on a bus in Rochdale, this time without my Friends i spoke to them genuinely asked why they were in Rochdale? where they're from? etc...etc... and got off the bus i realized i just spoken to two of the nicest lads i had ever met so again i got of the bus, played my match, lost, and started walking to the bus station wet through and covered in mud. as you can tell i probably wasn't very happy. You'll never guess who i saw in the bus station for a third time in one day? you got it the Elders. I talked with them and they told me that it was no coincidence that they had met me a that i should have lessons, i didn't think so and just though it was some weird coincidence then my "every 10 min bus" was around an hour and a half late so they had plenty of time to answer any questions i had and finally agreed to have my first lesson, my bus then turned up! during my first lesson i felt something which i had never felt before, i later started to pray i began to understand what i was feeling, this was the only was i could ever truly believe what they were telling me after i had experienced these things for myself which i had. i was soon baptized. an so was my friend who originally made the comment on the bus.

How I live my faith

Well i was baptized June 30th 2012. At this time i was preparing to go to college an university. a while after this I was sat in sacrament meeting an our local mission president was asked to speak, during the meeting i felt a strong urge to pray while praying something told me that a mission was the right thing for me and that it is what heavenly farther would want for me. i spoke to my bishop so he invited me round to his home to have a look at how to start the process and this happened until i had finally submitted my papers. in July 2013 my mission papers finally arrived at my house and i was called to serve in the South Africa Johannesburg Mission which I am sooooo Excited for.
