Hi I'm Gary McClellan

I've spent the last 35 years in Oregon helping the hearing impaired as an audiologist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy camping, hiking, photography, music and gardening. Since retirement about a year ago I continue to try to find ways to help people. This may come in the form of helping any of our five children or helping out at church.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into a family that were already Mormons, it is easy to continue with that religious preference because of the Book of Mormon which is another testament of Christ. I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon several times and as a result have a strong testimony of Christ's role of Savior and Redeemer of mankind. This in turn helps me make sense of our world.

How I live my faith

While working as an audiologist, I fit many people with hearing aids. It was my goal to be as honest, fair and objective as possible with each individual and their hearing needs. Since most people don't like the idea of wearing hearing aids, it was rare that people would really thank me, but I knew that I was doing the right thing for them. It is a little bit like that being a Mormon. Since most people don't really understand that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can be a great blessing, they may not like the idea of taking the time to prayerfully study it. I love to teach people about the doctrine of the church, knowing that it is the right thing to help them.
