Hi I'm William Kesler

I grew up in upstate New York. I love making people laugh and taking photos. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at a school in Idaho where I have studied photography and music. I have a big family and we all love music. A few of us have been to Europe to perform in select choirs and singing is a cool thing we do as a family. I also enjoy running and swimming, even if I don't do it as often as I would prefer to. They are both great things to do with friends and family to enjoy company and build strength. One of my favorite things to do is create laughter, whether it's a joke or just a funny conversation with those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

This church means the world to me. Without this gospel of Jesus Christ I would be far from success in my life. Because of the example of others in my faith, I have somehow been able to steer clear of the perils of the world. I look to Heavenly Father every day for guidance in my life and I am so grateful to His son, Jesus Christ, for the sacrifice given to us. The teachings in this gospel are so real and so true that I know it had to have been given to us straight from God. I am a Mormon because I know the teachings of this church are true. I know the leaders in this church have been called by God to lead us on earth to safely return to Him. My knowledge of the truthfulness of this gospel is the most important thing in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in church activities. I am the music leader at my church where I teach kids 3 to 12 hymns and children's songs. I am responsible for figuring out lessons for the kids and coming up with fun ways to help them learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I really enjoy spending time with the missionaries in our area and I am going to serve a mission of my own in Brazil for the next 2 years. It is something I can't wait to do and I look forward to being a servant of the Lord for the people in South America.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

William Kesler
No one is required to serve a mission. Jesus Christ has asked in the scriptures that we go and teach others by service. Those of us who decide to serve a mission do it voluntarily and with great excitement. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

William Kesler
The goal of a missionary is to bring people to Christ. They teach about our purpose for coming to earth and how we can one day return to God. Show more Show less
