Hi I'm Kalyn

I'm a musician. I love the beach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kalyn and I am a junior in college, going to school to study Psychology. I love music and I find it exciting to learn new instruments. I was born and raised in Florida and I love to spend time at the beach, whether it be laying on the beach or playing some Frisbee with friends. Dance is one of my passions and I have been a dancer for about 15 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I cannot deny the truth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have gained a knowledge for myself that the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God and another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that we have a true prophet on the Earth today who receives revelation from our loving Father in Heaven. I know that Heavenly Father knows and loves each one of His children individually and he gives us prophets and the Book of Mormon to provide direction in our lives. I can testify that Christ has atoned for all of our sins so that we have the opportunity to repent and to live with our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ again and I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is the only way by which we can gain our salvation. I know that Heavenly Father has given us a divine plan where we can have eternal families and live with them in exaltation. I know of the power of prayer and know that our Heavenly Father will always answer our prayers. It may not be when or how we expect, but we will always receive an answer. I have felt the power of prayer in my own life and the power that the Atonement of Jesus Christ can have to change lives. Finally I know of the peace and comfort that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can provide in our lives if we will allow the truth of the Gospel to fill our lives. I feel so blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and am so thankful for the direction and answers it provides in my life. I would challenge anyone who has questions in their own lives to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true and I know if you do this, you will receive an undeniable witness for yourself that this book is true. This Gospel is true, the Book of Mormon is true, and I invite you to feel those blessings in your life!

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is by spreading the Gospel to those around me. I have had many callings in the church including a teacher, a leader, a missionary, a pianist, and a participant in a service committee. I enjoy sharing the Gospel with others and feel blessed to devote 18 months to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those people I will serve.
