Hi I'm Judith Fay Law Chaston

I'm converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by Christ and the Holy Ghost.

About Me

I am a married mom with six children - 2 boys and 4 girls. One boy went home to heaven, but the other five children grew up, got married, and have children too, so I'm also a grandma. In a few years my oldest grandchildren will get married, and have children, so then I'll be a great grandma. I've always loved music, since it influences our souls, except back in the 1960's when rap music came out about joining gangs, robbing banks, killing cops, and beating girls and old women up and raping them. As announced on the news, thousands of boys were influenced and started doing this, so I panicked and quit listening to radio music, and joined the choir, singing hymns to the Lord. As a teenager, I did listen to rock music some, and had some immoral thoughts, but now I won't listen to any music that tells us to have sex with a girlfriend or boyfriend, or have lust. Classic music and hymns influence us to sing praise to the Lord. I also studied architecture and building construction back in college, and spent a lot of time designing and building, as well as raising children, but now I want to spend my time serving my fellow men and the Lord. I am finding some of my Danish ancestry.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and was taught by my parents. I went to school in Alberta, Canada, where they taught that the earth was not created by God, but just formed itself by evolution. Since I wanted to get straight A's in school, I answered the test questions the way the teacher told me to, and I wavered in my faith. Then the Spirit advised me to have faith in Christ, Heavenly Father, and Him, instead of giving in to the temptation of the devil. I accept the counsel of the Spirit, and believe in Christ's miraculous accomplishments, and redemption of mankind. The prophets also told us to read the scriptures daily, and I do that now, and it gives me more faith and hope in the Lord. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the church spoken of by ancient prophets about what will come in these last days, and it will renew our knowledge of Christ's commandments and blessings. When Christ and His apostles were murdered back almost 2000 years ago, the power of the priesthood was lost, but because of the freedom in America, it was restored back in the early 1800's. Even those of us who were born as members of this church have to learn and be converted to faith in the gospel of Christ. I now know that it is true, and will save us for eternity.

How I live my faith

I have several Church callings in my ward - Humanitarian Aid supervisor, Primary teacher, Relief Society visiting teacher, and visiting teacher supervisor, Cub Scout board member. I also am a health supervisor in my little cabin community.

What is the Relief Society?

Judith Fay Law Chaston
The Relief Society is the women of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints joined together for meetings to learn more about Christ's gospel, accomplish more of what He would have us do, to properly raise our children in a joyful family, and to help other people both physically and spiritually. It is a huge friendly, kind and merciful group of women who are able to make more progress to return home to Heaven for Eternity. Show more Show less
