Hi I'm Michael Westover

I have a beautiful family with four kids. I love startup companies and working with clinical data. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up surfing on the beaches of Los Angeles with three brothers and a baby sister. My parents showed me the happiness that comes from following the teachings of the church. I graduated from Brigham Young University and later from the Wharton School of Business. I was a missionary for two years in Rio de Janeiro. My job involves analytics and consulting with healthcare data. I have a wonderful wife, four girls and a boy, and we live in the Portland area. I love books, board sports, pickup basketball, playing games with my family and serving in the community.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because our way of life works. Following the teachings of Christ and the LDS church has given me a sense of purpose in life, a feeling of closeness to God, a strong marriage and family, and the support of a loving community. I am a better father, husband, business man and person because of my church membership.

How I live my faith

I have taken on the responsibility to find short term service opportunities for Mormons and others in the community. During the past two years, we have helped load and unload over 25 moving trucks, refinished decks, cleaned out cluttered and dirty homes, cleaned up parks, and donated food. I have found great happiness when I serve those in my community and let people serve my family in return. What the LDS church does as well as any organization I know of is provide opportunities to serve and connect with those around us.
