Hi I'm Andrew

I grew up in California. I graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father to a wonderful wife and three beautiful kids. I played soccer growing up and still like to get out and play every so often. I enjoy camping and the outdoors. I like learning about new technology which is one reason I chose Electrical Engineering as my major. I worked and went to school full time while my wife stayed home with our children (only two of them at the time). I graduated two years ago and have enjoyed the extra time with the family now that I'm no longer in school.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of this church but I really gained a testimony for myself when I set out to serve my mission. I was called to serve in the Guatemala Quetzaltenango mission. As I prepared to teach the Gospel to others, I found that I didn't yet "know" that it was true myself. After much prayer and studying of the scriptures, I had a special experience that confirmed it is true. I have since had many experiences that have further strengthened my testimony and helped me know without a doubt that this is His church. Living His gospel and seeing the blessings that He gives when one is obedient are constant reminders of this.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the Elder's Quorum president of one of the two quorums in our ward. The quorum is a group of men 18 years of age and older. They may be single or married and with or without children. I visit different members (and their families) in our quorum each week and see how they're doing. I also do my home teaching (more visits) each month and attend my regular Sunday meetings. While I have "more" time now that I'm out of school, I find ways to fill it up by serving in the Church and spending time with my family.
