Hi I'm Rebekah

I'm an at-home mom busy trying to raise my children in faith. I'm a Mormon mom.

About Me

I stay at home with my son while my husband is finishing school at BYU. I graduated from BYU last year in elementary education. I enjoy baking, scrapbooking, music and spending time together as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, so it's easy to assume I'm just here because this is what I was taught and how I grew up. But it's more than that. I was also taught, by my parents and the church that I am free to choose how I want to live and I need to individually choose to build a relationship with my Savior and my God. That is why I am here.I have a relationship with Jesus Christ and with God, my Heavenly Father. I love the Father and the Son, and I am overwhelmed with the amount of love They have for me. I have so much happiness when I live my life as God commands. I am so happy when I make choices to follow and draw closer to God. My greatest sorrows come from times when I am setting my will at odds with God's. I have had so many great opportunities in life because I have planned my life so that I could always do what God asks of me. I never wanted to leave the area I grew up in, but I was prompted to get an education and go to BYU. I was able to get a bachelor's degree, go to a place halfway across the country and see a new culture, get married, and become independent because I followed these promptings. I am so much more than I would have been because I chose to follow God.

How I live my faith

At church I lead the music when we sing as a congregation. I have also spent time coordinating activities for 8-12 year old girls. I particularly enjoy time visiting other women in my congregation during the week. At home, I help my family grow closer Jesus Christ by talking, learning and teaching of Christ. My son is a baby now, but I try to help him learn good behaviors now as a place to start learning of God while he is young.
