Hi I'm Michael

I'm a native to Las Vegas, born and raised here. I grew up loving sports, specifically soccer & basketball. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I recently was married to my beautiful wife in December of 2012. My absolute favorite past time is to simply spend time with my wife, and it really doesn't matter to me what we do so long as we do it together. I also just graduated from UNLV with a bachelors in business management within the last year. I greatly enjoyed college, but at the same time I am glad to be finished for now. I enjoy following sports...whether it be professional or college sports. Unfortunately I don't hardly have anytime to play too much anymore. But when I'm able to I still enjoy playing in a good competitive soccer or basketball or football game. Some of the greatest joys I get out of life is by serving others. As a Mormon, my church gives a plethora of opportunities to serve others in all kinds of aspects. The sweet spirit that comes from serving others is something that my soul always longs for.

Why I am a Mormon

The primary reason that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is because I know for myself that this is Christ's true church established here on the earth. I know this is Christ's true church because I have received countless witnesses and answers from my Heavenly Father that this is Christ's church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches the true gospel principles of Jesus Christ. The gospel focuses and centers around families. Strong family ties is one of my favorite subjects taught in the church. True joy and happiness comes from having strong, close family relations. If we as a nation would each focus on strengthening our family relations and focus on living the gospel together as families, many of the complex problems and struggles that are present in today's world would be solved.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to home teach four different families. As a home teacher, I visit each family in their home once a month. During the monthly visit, I share a short gospel message with them. Also, I see if there are needs that the family needs met whether the needs by temporal or spiritual needs. The relationship that is built between myself and each of these families is great. There is a strong bond of unity built there and the family knows that if they are in need of something, they can count on me. In my church, I serve as a ward missionary. I help the full-time missionaries in their efforts to preach the gospel to those that are willing to listen. I assist the full-time missionaries in bringing others closer to Christ. Also, I help see that the less active members of the church are visited and accounted for. I help better teach the gospel to the new members of the church as well so that the new members can learn, grow and develop in the gospel and church.
