Hi I'm Riley

I grew up moving from state to state. I love to play sports. I have had many different jobs. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to play any type of sport or activity that will keep my mind or body active. My favorite is basketball. I have been a lifeguard, worked in construction, and worked at fast food restaurants. I love doing extreme sports or adrenaline pumping activities such as sky diving, snowboarding or surfing. I am very much into fitness, I think it is very important including, but not limited to protein shakes, and working out daily. I have gone to one semester of college so far. I am majoring in communications and minoring in business. I am planning on owning my own business, either in the banking industry or the food industry. I have a family I am very close too. With all of my brothers and sisters older than me and most of them married with kids. I love to play video games or sports with my nieces and nephews. I love hanging out with friends going to play sports or going to the movies with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the church is true. I was raised in the church, but wasn't always positive it was the true church. As I went through high school, I decided I needed to know for myself. I then prayed and read the scriptures daily asking my father in heaven which church was the true church. As I was asking I had a confirming feeling that this was the true church. As I go to church and keep reading my scriptures it grows my testimony all the time. I have found that I know the church is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and translated gold plates. I also know we have a modern prophet that gives us revelation from the Lord. My testimony is very special as I know that I got my testimony through lots of study and reading and lots of hard work.

How I live my faith

I teach lessons at my church each week about different subjects of the gospel. I go out in my community and home teach members of the church in the area, going into there homes on a monthly basis and just teaching them and reminding them what we have been taught. I love talking to strangers about the gospel and especially at work if anyone has questions, I love to answer all of there questions. In my home I read the scriptures by myself and with my family. Many times we invite the missionaries in our area and some friends over for dinner so that the missionaries can give a little lesson to all of us and can answer any questions our friends have.
