Hi I'm Erin

Cali. Music. Mommy. Mormon.

About Me

I am a mommy to the sweetest little kids. Becoming a mom was the best thing that ever happened to me. I am so passionate about music, I love it - all aspects of it. It has the ability to speak when words fail. My brother described his love of music perfectly: "At a time in my life when not much makes me happy, I'm glad I have music. It's like the best friend that does nothing but still makes everything alright. It sends me into that euphoric state that can never be described. Can never be matched. Can never be touched." My life is music. I love cold weather. The feeling I get when autumn hits brings me a happiness that I just can't explain. I love rain, the color green, tomatoes, dark chocolate, and country music. Ohhhhh country music!!! I am also very passionate about politics.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the only church that makes sense. This is God's true church, designed and run the way He intended it to be, the way it was when Jesus lived here on Earth, and restored again by the prohpet Joseph Smith. I grew up Presbyterian and never got a straight answer from anyone for the questions I had until I found this church. I didn't even believe in the Bible until I read the Book of Mormon! Knowing and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me incredible joy, comfort, and peace. Life is hard - it's supposed to be - but when you have a foundation as firm as the Gospel, you have an anchor for your soul and a promise that you will get through it if you have faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example. The hardest thing for me to hear is that people don't come to church because they see people "preaching" one thing and doing the opposite. I want to be the reason someone becomes interested in learning about the Church, not the reason for their excuse not to. I am a youth leader for 12-18 year old young women, and we like to teach each other things and help out in the community :]
