Hi I'm Nicole

I love to sing and dance. I will make you delicious food. I have a big family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am number six of seven children. I love to competitive sing and I love to perform. Music is everything. I also went to culinary school. I make a mean bowl of cereal. I like to watch movies and netflix. I'm a normal person, I guess. I left my home in America to serve a mission in Romania, and it has been one of the best experiences of my life. I miss my family and all but I REALLY miss my dog, Pepper. And I love this church.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was eight years old, I chose to be baptised into the LDS church. I made this choice because I knew that it was the true church restored on earth by a living prophet. I knew that it was what God wanted me to do and that if I followed in the footsteps of Christ, I would be happy. Since then, I have had many trials and struggles just like anyone else. Even so, I never let anything change what I knew was true. This church and gospel has blessed me so much I cannot express. I love being a mormon.

How I live my faith

I love to study the scriptures. I used to hate it, but that's because I never did it. Now it's my favorite part of the day. I also love to go to church on Sundays, even though it's not in my native language. The spirit I feel there makes it worth it. I like to apply the teachings of Christ in my life, it just makes everything easier.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

I believe fully that men and women were created to be equal. So why don't women hold the priesthood, then? Because, if women were to be given the priesthood also, then men and women would be same rather than equal. Equality is not sameness, or else there would be no differences between man and woman. The differences between man and woman are vital to the structure of this Earth. Priesthood was given to men because God knew that they were the ones to hold His power. Women are given many gifts as well to equal out the scale. For example, the gift of motherhood is something no man can comprehend and is given to women only because Heavenly Father knows that women are the ones capable of His gift. Even without holding the priesthood, women are still blessed by it and we should all be grateful for the gifts given to us and we should not demand having the gifts of others. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony when referring to law and court systems is a witness's account to the events of a case. A testimony when referring to Mormons is similar; it is a witness's account to the gospel. When a member bears their testimony to themselves, their family, their friends, their congregation, or otherwise, they are telling what they know to be true and how they came to know it.
