Hi I'm Susan

I am a Grandmother and have been married for 42 years. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love flowers, gardening, cooking and sewing quilts. I have 15 grandchildren and love to be with my family. My husband and I just retired and are having a wonderful time spending time together. This is a great time of life for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints. In other words, I am a Mormon. I love the teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He has taught us how to love and lift our family and neighbors. He has prepared the way for us to return to our Heavenly Father by His perfect atonement. Because of Him we all will be resurrected and have an opportunity to have eternal life. Families can live together forever through the ordinances of this gospel. That is what I desire most is to be with my family forever. I have felt God's love and direction in my life and know He lives. The Holy Ghost has bore that witness to me many times and in many different ways. This church is true because it has all the saving ordinances in order for us to return to our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I love to serve in our church. Right now I teach a small class of 4 children from 9 to 11. They are smart and bright. In addition I play the organ in our meetings and love to play the sweet hymns that invite the spirit into our meetings. I also like to help make our community a warm friendly place to live and am serving on our HOA committee. There are a lot of good people where we live.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Susan
Our Heavenly Father loves us dearly and wants us to live with Him again after this life. Jesus Christ is His only begotten son in the flesh, therefore Jesus had the capacity to be perfect and to show us how to return to our Father in Heaven. Jesus also was the only one who could provide a way for us to return to our Heavenly Father by taking upon himself all of our sins so we could repent. He also laid down His life for us and then three days later picked it up again as a resurrected being. He broke the bands of death by His resurrection so we all can be resurrected too. We owe all our love to him who saved us. Because of him we can be forgiven of the mistakes we make in this life and become clean again. What a wonderful blessing that is. I know Jesus Christ lives and loves each one of us individually. He will do all he can to help us return to our Heavenly Father but we also need to do our part by trying to improve our lives daily and by serving others. That is our job to love and lift those around us and to become like our Savior, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
