Hi I'm Gabriel

Born in St. George. I play Basketball and Football. I am currently serving in the Alpine German-Speaking mission and I am a mormon

About Me

I grew up in a family of 5, 4 older sisters. Despite having no brothers I have played Basketball and Football my whole life, I love Sports. My senior year in High School I tore my ACL at a basketball tournament in Las Vegas. After months of recovering back I ruptured my Patellar Tendon. I currently have my mission call to the Alpine German-Speaking mission and report to the England MTC July 25, 2013.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true Church here on Earth today. We are currently living in the "dispensation of the fulness of times." The church has helped me through many trials through out my life thus far. Everything that the LDS Church teaches is comforting to know. Such as family's can be together forever. The thought of my family being together forever is so comforting to know. With out the Church in my life I would be lost quite often. Whenever a trial is placed upon me, or I'm having a hard time I can turn to the knowledge I have been taught, and put my Trust and Faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, to help me out.

How I live my faith

I have grown up in the Church but was never forced to attend Church or go on a mission. I made the decision on my own. I have grown to love this Church and the blessings I have received! I am getting ready to serve my Mission and couldn't be more excited! I know that it can seem hard to live the standards of the Church, but it isn't! The blessings that come with and the true happiness you'll find is well worth it!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Gabriel
No, it is a choice. Members do not have to serve a mission to be saved. There are no consequences for those who don't. Although, it is encouraged by the church to serve in honorable full time mission. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Gabriel
God will answer our prayers. If we seek to know if something is right or wrong, and put in the time to know ourselves, then come to Christ asking him for guidance and the truth he will answer us. We can ask him through sincere prayer. After you pray be ready to listen with your heart and mind to know if it is true. We will receive our answer through the Holy Ghost. As Moroni 10:4-5 state, "...if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." "And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." Show more Show less
