Hi I'm Aaron

I grew up in upstate New York. I´m a band geek and I´m a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in Campinas, Brazil. I spent most of my life in upstate New York. My parents both grew up in California. I have one brother and 3 sisters and I am the oldest of all. I will attend BYU in 2014. I have worked for McDonalds and in a printer factory.I play piano, Tenor & Bari Sax, and Clarinet and Bass Clarinet. I love the Piano Guys, Two Steps from Hell, Neon Trees and Daughtry. I love Thai food! I am a Laker, a Packer, and a fan of Manchester United! I love to play sports and board games. I love to spend time at the beach or at the lake.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, without a single doubt in my mind, it is the truth. It is my light in a lost and falling world. This is not just another church, another religion. This is the truth. This is our life! God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He loves us. He has prepared the way so that we can return to him. We don´t need to worry. We know why were are here. We know were we were before this life. We know where exactly we are going after this life. We know that we can see our loved ones again. We know why there exists such a confusion in regards to religion. I am not a Mormon because I believe it is the truth, or that it is the most correct. I KNOW that it is true. Nothing will ever take this knowledge from me. I know that it is the truth and I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

Now I am serving as a full-time missionary. Everyday I walk the streets of Brazil talking with people about the Church and how they can find peace in a world full of confusion and suffering. I teach people about the Church and help them learn more about Christ and how they can become truly closer to him.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Aaron
No. We worship God and His Son, Jesus Christ. We respect and reverence Joseph Smith. It is very similar to the relationship between Moses and ancient Israel. Israel greatly respected Moses and has always spoken about what great things he did, such as freeing Israel from Egypt. But they never worshiped Moses, only The Lord. It is the same thing with us today. We greatly respect Joseph Smith for what he did. It is because of the great acts that he has done that we are free today from the confusion that exists in the world in regards to religion. He wasan instrument of the Lord, but we always recognize that the Master is God. Show more Show less
