Hi I'm Max Wolthuis

I'm from Denver Colorado. I love the outdoors, I love to ride horses, dirt bike, and snowboard, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 6'5 and I'm the goofiest kid you'll ever meet. I am a waist of height and athleticism; I didn't play basketball or football. Ever since I was old enough to think, I loved motocross. When I was eight I got my first dirt bike and I have been riding ever since. I love the outdoors and being away from all the ruckus of the city. I am terrified of horses but I love to ride them and I’ve been riding since I was eleven. I’m a pretty shy guy, I always have been since I was a little kid, but I love meeting new friends and being with the people that I love. I have two great parents; they are still pretty cool and hip despite their age. I have an older brother and two older sisters. I don’t want to gloat but our family is awesome and fun to be around! Were all super close and Love each other very much.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, and to be honest I am grateful I was. I don’t even want to imagine a life that lacked direction or purpose that my faith in the lord provides. I am a Mormon because it gives my lost soul direction and because it brings me happiness. In reality, every Mormon’s faith is tested in some point of their life, and each member has a choice to stay or go. I have stayed because my deepest questions and concerns are answered through the companionship of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. These questions cannot be answered by any other faith or religion, believe me I’ve checked. The thing that people get wrong about Mormons is they think we believe in being perfect... (Forgive me for being blunt) “Why don’t you drink or smoke?” “Have you ever had sex before?” these are the two most frequently asked questions, and my answer is “Mormons are regular people, they make mistakes and perhaps they have done those things. But they learn from their mistakes and strive to turn their weaknesses into strengths.” That is why I am Mormon. Because we believe that the whole reason we exist on this earth is to learn and grow from our mistakes to become better people.

How I live my faith

I love to live the way a Christian should. I love those around me and I reach out to my peers when they need help. I am a very forgiving person, I believe in second and third chances just like the lord does. I work in the Denver temple twice a week and I love the peace and love that the lord has to offer me.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Max Wolthuis
If you think about it, it's crazy that the lord would reveal himself to the 14 year old boy Joseph Smith. One of the biggest concerns is that Joseph made these things up, but as you thoroughly read the Book of Mormon and study the bible you begin to know that this church is true. the only way you will know for yourself is by reading the Book of Mormon. I have, and the book gives me a better understanding of our lord better than any book or teaching that this world has to offer. Show more Show less
