Hi I'm Perry

I'm Happy. I know my purpose. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in a large family where we worked hard and had lots of fun. I love my family with all my heart and love spending time with them. I swam competitively for years and also played tennis. I love to read, mostly Fantasy and Science Fiction. I love to cook, but my specialty is definitely baking desserts. One of my all time favorite hobbies is bowling. I just graduated from High School and I am leaving shortly for my Mission. I plan to attend college when I return, get married and start an Eternal Family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That doesn't mean that I am only a member because of tradition. I have come to know for myself that this is the true Church of Christ. I know that this church was the Church that Christ put into place on this earth countless years ago, and that through his first latter-day prophet, Joseph Smith, he again restored it to the earth. I have read the Book Of Mormon, and have prayed and asked God if it is his words and if this is his true church...and I have felt his Spirit, and I know that it is. I know that by being baptized and becoming a member of this church is the most important and sometimes the hardest decision that we will face, but I know that it is the right decision. We can and will have so much peace and joy in this life and we can have that same peace and joy even after this life, if we will just follow Christ. Life isn't perfect, and sometimes it is so difficult and it seems like I can't get through the day..but I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me, and they know how I feel, and that they will always help me get through the hard times..if i just have faith in them, and do as they ask me. I have had so many times when I haven't been able to keep going, but I have, and I know that it is because I had Divine help. I am a Mormon. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that my Redeemer lives and loves me, and that through him, I can repent and have eternal joy. No matter what happens, I will always know that this is God's Church, that he loves me, and he wants me to be happy. And I know that I can be happy, no matter what. I am happy, because of this gospel and the pure joy that it gives me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. Wether it is specifically helping those needy in my community and ward, or if its simply being a cheerful, friendly person who lives the teachings and commandments of my faith. I have grown up in the LDS Church and have been able to have many callings and assignments to help others. From the time I turned 12 I have been able to visit with and learn to love many different people and I really try to help them and be with them through all the ups and downs that life has. I live my faith by trying to be a better, kinder more charitable person, and my faith, my religion, my church, helps me to be the best that I can be.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

I'm a Mormon. My lifestyle is really similar to the lifestyles of a lot of good, non-LDS people. We live, we eat, we work, we play. The biggest idea or value that sets us apart from a lot of the world is the emphasis that we place on family. Family is the most important part of our everyday lives. We love spending time together, whether it's playing, talking, laughing or just being around each other. We always try to be kind and thoughtful, and when we argue, like everyone does, we always try to resolve those problems and work through them together. We believe that Families can be together forever, and that we can have eternal Joy and happiness together, if we will follow Jesus Christ, keep his commandments, and repent. Families can be happy in this life, and in the next. I know this is true. Show more Show less
