Hi I'm Catherine

I love the outdoors, laughing and traveling. I am serving in the Scotland/Ireland mission and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to do anything outside, hiking, swimming, running, playing sports. My love for being outside pushed me to being a horticulture major in college. I loved working in the greenhouse, planting seeds, watering plants. Working with soil, watching things grow brings so much happiness in my life. I also love music, all kinds of music. I played the french horn and playing in a symphony is a beautiful experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that God is my Heavenly Father and He wants me to return to Him after this life. I know that by being obedient to His commandments I am blessed. I know that Jesus Christ gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we may be made clean.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to be a disciple of Christ. At the end of the day I want to look back on my day feeling like I have treated the people around me the way Christ would have treated them. I can do this by smiling at the people I pass on the street, or giving my seat to someone who may need it on the bus on the way to work. I can also visit the sisters in my ward each month, sharing a spiritual message with them or asking them if they need any help.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

No unclean thing can be in the presence of God. Our end goal is to live in the presence of God. Being human we make mistakes and are not perfect. Jesus Christ came and made the ultimate sacrifice to cleanse us of our sins. Without a Savior we would never be able to return to our Heavenly Father and live with Him. Show more Show less
