Hi I'm Jett

I enjoy healthy competition, long hours at the pool, a good laugh, and time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 3 kids in my family. I love swimming, wearing flip flops, playing board games, and eating chocolate covered gummy bears. I recently finished my freshman year of college, studying elementary education and for the past few months I've been working at a daycare. I love spending my time with kids because I find them absolutely hilarious! Within the next week I will be leaving all that is familiar to serve a mission for my Savior Jesus Christ in Brazil. I can't imagine anything I would rather do with the next 18 months of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Its simple really. This gospel makes me happy! I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it and I can feel in my heart the truthfulness of its words. When I read the Book of Mormon, follow the prophet and live the standards of the gospel I feel a special peace despite the chaos and pain in the world around me. I feel closer to God, surrounded by his infinite goodness, mercy and love. To me there is no sweeter feeling than that which this gospel offers to anyone who desires it. I know that God lives and that He hears and answers prayers. I know this because time and time again He has heard the quite pleadings of my heart and come to my aid. I testify that Jesus is the Christ, my Savior and Redeemer. I know he understands all of my heartaches, struggles and sorrows and I know he is mighty to save if we but heed his call to "Come follow me".

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the example of Jesus Christ in viewing people as a son or daughter of our Heavenly Father. I try to treat everyone with respect and kindness because I believe we are all God's children and deserve such compassion. I believe a warm smile and a friendly greeting go a long way. I try to personally get to know those I interact with and then look for specific needs in their lives that I can fill simply out of love for that individual.
