Hi I'm McKensie

I'm a New York missionary. I bring Mandarin men and women back to our Father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

On June 18th, 2013, I received my call to the New York New York North mission. I left for the MTC on October 30th, where I began my journey of learning to preach the gospel in the Mandarin Chinese language. I finally entered the field January 7th, where I am happily working to bring others the happiness that I have enjoyed my whole life long. I enjoy anything to do with the many cultures of Asia, and have even taken three years of high school Japanese. I dream of traveling the world and falling in love with each and every country and culture. I love antiques as well as history and being able to touch each little piece of it. Reading, writing, and drawing are my passions, and art is my outlet.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in an LDS family, I relied heavily on my parents testimony at first. However, through various experiences I learned to rely on my own light. A turning point in my life happened while visiting temple square in Salt Lake City. Two sister missionaries approached me and asked me if I had read the Book of Mormon. They invited me to read 3 Nephi where the Savior appears before the Nephites. After reading the Book of Mormon, my testimony began to grow and my desire to live the gospel increased. I started living my religion more completely and with confidence. I am grateful for these sweet sister missionaries who will never know how they changed my life that day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping my standards high. I try to lead by example and live up to the callings that require such leadership. I love each and every one of the members of my ward, especially the girls I've been able to serve in both callings and everyday life. Each experience has built me up to become a worthy servant of The Lord through bringing my brothers and sisters to Christ. I know that Heavenly Father qualifies whom He calls, and that He will be with me wherever I go and in whatever I do.
