Hi I'm Ali

I grew up in a lot of different places but mostly Idaho. I started a competitive girls volleyball club. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of one beautiful little girl. I've finished college and am pretty proud to say this mom has a business degree under her belt as well. I love all sports but have a particular love for volleyball. I played all through high school and college and continued to coach during and after college too. Working with my teams at the high school level got me really interested in starting a club team with a very close friend of mine. Club is the most exciting part for me because that's where most girls will get scouted for college teams. Nothing makes me happier than a girl getting the opportunity to continue this great sport after high school. Not because sports are everything but because helping those girls get help or even a free education was really rewarding (hopefully for them as well).

Why I am a Mormon

I guess initially I was a Mormon because that's what I was taught. Eventually, I had to find out for myself. I took the time to study scripture and, most importantly, pray to ask God for myself. He gave me my answer and confirmed it with strong specific feelings from the Holy Spirit that God knew I would understand. I know for myself that it's true, nothing else matters.

How I live my faith

Within the ward I attend, I work with the youth. In particular the young women ages 12 & 13. I teach lessons on Sundays and attend youth group activities with them on Wednesday nights. They are so smart and love to learn. I'm always impressed how they handle themselves when I observe situations they are faced with. Such great examples! I really enjoy sucking up their energy and fresh look on life whenever I can.
