Hi I'm Mallory Culley

I'm from Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm an artist. I volunteer with special needs individuals. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an artist. I sell my paintings throughout the Salt Lake Valley and have received awards from the Springville museum of art as well as Utah's Legislature. I have illustrated and published two children's books, one of which my grandpa wrote. Art is the way I give back to the world. I also volunteer with individuals with special needs. I have loved working with the Special Olympics and Best Buddies. I have worked since I was fourteen, it feels as though I've always had a job. I am a full time student in my sophomore year. I just graduated with my Associates Degree and plan to return to get my Bachelors Degree when I return from my full-time mission to Santos, Brazil. I leave for the Brazil Mission Training Center December 11th. I will be speaking Portuguese. My family is my life. I live for being outdoors. Hiking, boating, rock climbing--I'm there!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I grew up without the peace and hope that Christ's wonderful message brings. I have known loneliness, despair, and hopelessness. I have experienced the feelings of inadequacy that come with the worlds berating message that I am not good enough, pretty enough, or cool enough. With the gospel guiding my life, I know all those things to be false. When I was introduced to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice it brought me to my knees to know that I have been thought about, born in God's thought, and then made by God. To know this is the dearest, grandest, and most precious thing in all thinking. I am a Mormon because I MATTER. What I do MATTERS. I have an eternal purpose. I am loved by my Heavenly Father that only wants my happiness. I myself and weak, but through Christ I am strong and I cannot fail. I am the Daughter of a Heavenly King that wants me to return to Him to spend eternity in His glory, and through Christ's atonement I know I can.

How I live my faith

I am part of a ward for young single adults. We always have fun together and our ward is really service oriented. I serve as a visit teaching supervisor as well as a visit teacher. I think visit teaching has helped our ward to unite and allow everyone to feel loved. Our ward helps young single adults transition and branch out in a safe and care free environment.
