Hi I'm Jessica

I am a wife and a mother to two little boys. I am living my happily ever after, come what may!

About Me

I was born and raised by wonderful parents in the church. I spent my childhood years along the east coast in the US, and my teenage and adult years in Utah. I was sealed to my husband in the Mount Timpanogos temple. We have two sons, 18 months apart. I love to bake, run, clean, and play with my children. Two sets of oxymorons, right? I love to learn about autism, as it affects us in our home with my sweet son.

Why I am a Mormon

I have often stood back and evaluated if I am where I want and need to be in life and in beliefs. What it often comes down to is that I want to live my life doing the most good in this world as I can. I want live a morally upright life. I want all of my habits to have only positive long-term affects. I want my knowledge of God and Christ to be consistent and true. I want to be the kindest person because of my beliefs. And all of these, and so many unique blessings and benefits come from being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I believe we hold the good of any religion in the world... and even a bit more. We believe the Bible... and we read the Book of Mormon which goes with it as scripture from the Ancient Americas as well as the Middle East. We believe in strength in families... and believe in marriage that does not end "until death do us part." Through temple marriage, we are sealed until even after death and parents and children are all sealed to us as families into the eternities together through the proper authority. We believe in Jesus Christ and the church that was established... and we believe it has been restored once again after years of being slowly lost and forgotten. Our church holds the same organization as Christ established in his time, and is headed by a prophet who speaks to God We receive revelation from Him on a regular basis. All this and so much more makes the church wonderful. Counsel and advice given is unsurpassed in wisdom and time. Statistically speaking, we live longer, healthier years, our marriages last longer, and we are the most happy. The wisdom of our counsel will often come into scientific study and support they are good. It is often no surprise to us when prophecies come true or when we see our prophet have the foresight to warm about troubles ahead and teaches us how to prepare and protect ourselves. I am a member of this church because I know it is true.

How I live my faith

The best I can! I try to help members of our church as much as I can. I love to make friends with those who seem to not have as many. I do my best to fulfill all responsibilities, personal and public, and continually improve myself. I focus my efforts to my family and trying to be a good mother and wife. My goal in life is to learn as much about Jesus Christ as I can by living my life patterned as closely as I can to His life!

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Put simply: We choose to make good choices now, so that in time we will still have a choice., and reap positive benefits from good choices. Addictions limit your ability to choose. Healthy lifestyles provide you with more choices with what you can do with your body in five, ten, or twenty years from now. Show more Show less
