Hi I'm Thomas James Barton

I grew up in California, and am anything but normal, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California and like every other person I simply followed what my parents and society told me; however, I always had something specail with me to help guide me through my every day challenges. That was the Gift of the Holy Ghost as my constant companion so long as I was worthy of it by refraining from sin. This gift is truly what helped me to keep myself from following what the media and all my friends told me to do. I began to see the unbearable amounts of corruption and lack of compasion for our fellow man. When I was 17 I left home for BYU where I truly developed the most. I began to think about how I could help imrove the world, for I was and am under the impresion that I can make the world change for the better, meaning that I want to spread love, even the love of Christ who saved us all, throughout the world. That is why I decided to serve a mision this past year. I got called to Florianopolis, Brazil by God through his prophets, and know that I will leave a print in Brazil.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have developed a testimony, even a knowledge, that this is the true Church on the Earth established once again through Joseph Smith who was called of God to be a Prophet. Being Mormon means that I am lucky enough to have had many people in my life who love God and Jesus Christ as I do, and they have shown me love which I know is a gift from God. Through Jesus Christ we can all be saved. Prayer is the first step to know if this Church is true and I have spent much time on my knees asking my Father in Heaven if this is true.

How I live my faith

Even as Christ loves the world and his father who is God, I so wish to learn to love the world and spread the cheer and good news of this Gospel. I know that through the power of perfect love, the world can become a perfect place where sin, such as hatred and violence, will no longer be found.
