Hi I'm J. Parker Bradshaw

I grew up in a small branch of about 15 active members. I was a lone scout and received my Eagle. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest in a family of 8 siblings, I have 7 older sisters. I grew up in a small tourist town in Northeast Washington State. I graduated from high school in a class of 38 students and was the only member of my faith in the school. In high school I played on the varsity basketball and baseball team. I love the outdoors. Some of my hobbies are horse back riding, boating, mountain biking, and rock climbing. I reached the summit of Mt. Rainier when I was 17. I have been riding horses ever since I can remember. I also enjoy mudding and working on my Ford F350. I just finished my first year at BYU-Idaho and loved it! I am preparing to serve a mission, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Mexico Torreon Mission. I leave August 7th and I am super excited and nervous... But mostly excited to extend the word of God to others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it helped make me the person I am today. If the gospel wasn't in my life I don't know where I would be.. It keeps me happy and energetic. My friends in high school didn't understand how I was happy everyday! Even when I didn't do as good as them in school I would just keep a smile on my face. I would like to bare my testimony. I know this church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints), is true, I know that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet on the earth today. I am thankful for Joseph Smith who restored the gospel and brought the gospel light to the world. I have a strong testimony of prayer and I know God will answer them if we pray with a sincere heart and if we understand that, 'Not mine, But thine will be done."

How I live my faith

Our local high school challenges each student to participate in community service, I performed over 200 service hours while in high school. As a boy scout each rank advancement required community service. Each week at church I help prepare and bless the sacrament (communion).
