Hi I'm Nate

I like sports. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small farm town in Idaho. Growing up in a small town was great for me. I heard a lot of people complain about there not being anything to do, but my friends and I always found something to do. I study hard, work harder, and play hardest. School has always been easy for me. I have made plenty of people mad because I often do not need to study hard for tests. I just listen in class and cram about an hour before tests. It has worked well for me. I currently work for a small law firm. It has been great experience for me. I have had a job since I was 14, and have always been told that I am a hard worker. Summer nights and weekends are always adventures for me. You can often find me on a playing field somewhere. I have never been known as the best at anything, but I have always been a top competitor in any sport that I have played. I love to play anything and am always willing to try something new. I love to hike, camp, fish, and well basically anything that you can do outside I love to do. I love nature and the beauty that God has created for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon, but I have not always known that this was his church. When I left to serve a mission I realized that I had never questioned my belief. I was trying to teach people about a church that I didn't know for myself was 100% true. This didn't last long though. I began to pray and ask the Lord to help me know. Reading the Book of Mormon was what did it for me. That book is true, there is no doubt in my mind. The Lord has helped me to know it. If its true, well then so is everything else that is based upon it. I am happy to be a Mormon and look to help anyone who has questions about the church

How I live my faith

I recently was married to the girl of my dreams. We got married in a Latter-day Saint temple. The importance of this for us was great. We both know that we can continue to be married even after death as long as we continue to live righteously. My new wife and I both served missions for the church in other countries. She spent 18 months in Sweden and loved teaching others in Europe. I served for 2 years in Peru. I love the Spanish language, the food, and the people of South America. I enjoyed teaching about Jesus Christ and his restored church to the people of Peru.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are places where we can perform work necessary for us to live with our father. We can also do work in place of people who have already died. The purpose of all these ordinances is so that we as families can live together after this life. It sounds kind of secretive, but really the temple is a very sacred place. I know that the Lord wants our families to be together forever. He gave us temples to make this possible. Show more Show less
