Hi I'm Ben

I hail from Utah Valley. I love my family and friends. I'm always happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my family and friends. I'm a big sports enthusiast and have been since birth. I play football and basketball regularly with all of my closest buddies. I truly enjoy a good family fun film. Education is a big deal to me as well. I plan on going to college and raising a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have experimented with different religions and cultures and there is nothing that compares to the happiness that I enjoy in being a Latter Day Saint. My family is closer and happiest as we live the restored gospel of Jesus Christ together. I have also avoided pain and destruction that this crumbling world has tried to press upon me because of my faith and the morals it has taught me to cherish. I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that through Him we can all experience the fullness of joy that our loving Heavenly Father desires for each of us. I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son, Jesus the Christ, in that grove of trees that beautiful spring morning. No one told me what to believe. I studied and discovered this truth for myself through the Holy Spirit. That undying knowledge has brought peace and happiness to my life that will never die.

How I live my faith

I have found the most joy in life through turning my faith into action. I participate almost unceasingly in bringing others towards Christ. I'm currently serving a two year mission in Tampa, Florida. Seeing the change that takes place in so many peoples' lives has brought me joy I didn't think was possible of experiencing.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Who hasn't truly asked the questions, "where did I come from? What is the purpose of this life? Where am I going after I die?". Everyone asks themselves those questions at some point in life. Even though there are thousands of different opinions constantly arguing about the subject it has become obviously apparent that most everyone doesn't really know. However, those who do know are God and His chosen servants. Amos, a prophet from the old testament, tells us, "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets" (Holy Bible, Amos 3:7, pg. 1139). From both modern and ancient prophets we have been taught that this life is a time to be happy. A loving God has created a perfect plan by which He will allow us to learn and progress while here on Earth. While it may appear that this life is overly difficult and discouraging, without point or purpose, it is in reality a time for magnificent happiness and direction. We learn through our sadness and trial the worth of true genuine joy. That joy is captured by following all of the loving laws that a loving Heavenly Father has set in stone for His children. By so doing, we will receive the fullest measure of happiness in this life and eventually in the life to come. I know this because I'm trying my best to live it! My happiest times are when I'm following Gods commandments the closest. Purpose of life = Happiness. Show more Show less
