Hi I'm Braden

About Me

I love to ski, mountain bike, hike, climb, and just about any other sport you can do out-doors. Living in Alaska for two years really helped me to gain a greater appreciation for God's creations, and helped me to see the beauty around me that is evidence of a supreme Creator.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, and was raised by very loving and faithful parents who taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I listened to their testimonies and studied the scriptures with my family over the years, I gained faith in the Savior, and I realized I needed to know for myself if this was really His church. When I read the Book of Mormon on my own for the first time, I came to know of its truthfulness by the power of the Holy Ghost. This knowledge came over time by following the pattern of reading and praying, reading and praying; always putting my faith and trust in the Savior. I guess you could say my testimony of the Book of Mormon has come much like the gradual rising of the sun rather than the instant flip of a light switch. As I consistently continue to read from the Book of Mormon and the Bible, as I am obedient to God's commandments, and attend church I feel spiritually full and happy--which is a continuing testimony to me that this really in actuality is the church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good friend to everyone i meet, and i try to treat everyone as my brother or sister. I pray every day that God will help me to see situations in which i could be of service to someone else. In the Book of Mormon, Jesus Christ visits the people in the Americas, and He invites all of them to come unto Him and to feel the wound in His side and the nail prints in His hands and feet "one by one". This is how I live my faith. Seeking and striving to serve others in a one by one manner, for that is how the Savior would do it.
