Hi I'm Carlie

I grew up in Chandler, Arizona. I am a newlywed, college student, and future special educator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Carlie and I am currently a full-time student. I am in my third year of studying special education and hope to become a teacher for individuals with special needs in the near future. I was recently married to my husband, Aaron, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. My many hobbies include singing, dancing, reading, playing the piano, spending time outdoors, and being with my husband and our families. I also love to travel and have been blessed to visit various locations around the world. I hope to someday be a mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in my Savior, Jesus Christ, and in my Heavenly Father. I know that they love me. I know that there is a prophet on the Earth today and that he receives revelation through God. I find joy in listening to his words and following his teachings. I know that God listens to me, and cares for me individually as His child. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book and that it testifies of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God who was an instrument in restoring the gospel of Jesus Christ again on the Earth. I know that families can be together after death, which brings me much peace and happiness. Most importantly, I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that He suffered and atoned for me so that I may live a happy life here on Earth as well as in the eternities. I have learned these truths over years of study, prayer, and diligence. I continue to live the gospel of Jesus Christ because I know that it is true and right through my own experiences. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's church, and I am so grateful to be a part of it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively and faithfully attending church meetings and activities, and by choosing to make my faith and family the foremost parts of my everyday life. I find joy in reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible and praying to my Father in Heaven, because I know He listens to my prayers. I live my faith by serving my neighbors and family, and by striving to live my life in such a way that reflects my belief in Jesus Christ. I have lived my faith in the areas I have lived by serving on a committee of women that make it their goal to give service to others who may be struggling. I have also been involved with a group that organizes opportunities for individuals to attend the LDS temples.
