Hi I'm Jacob

Im from Rochester Michigan. I'm a Jeep enthusiast. I'm serving a 2 year mission in Denver CO. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! I grew up in a city called Rochester Hills in the state of Michigan. I've lived there all my life, except for 3 years my family lived overseas. We moved to Singapore when I was 5 and then Australia when I turned 6. At around 8 we moved back to Rochester Hills. I loved growing up in Michigan. I love boating, watersports, basketball, football, and lacrosse. I also love computers and technology and am a car enthusiast. I especially love Jeeps and taking them where others wouldn't dare take a vehicle. I am a college student at Brigham Young University but am currently serving a 2 year proselyting mission in Denver Colorado. I love being a Mormon and all the blessings God has for me by choosing to follow him.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. But growing up in an ever-more wicked world it can be easy to get distracted. Thats what happened to me. I got off track of what was truly important in my life. The time for me to serve a mission got closer and closer and there was no way I was going to leave my cushy life for 2 years if I didn't know for myself that this church was true or if God was really even there. I went to BYU for a year before choosing to serve a mission and was looking to take the easiest Book of Mormon class that was offered. I had never read the Book of Mormon before, and a good friend challenged me to take the course from a difficult teacher, where you had to read the first half of the Book of Mormon in 2 weeks. I decided that I needed to take the difficult course, and truly find out what the Book of Mormon was all about. After completing the reading, I had to find my answer from God. I drove my Jeep up into the canyon and poured my soul out to him, willing to give up all my sins to know the truth. He answered me loud and clear and my life has not been the same since. I love being a Mormon, a Missionary, a Christian, and a Disciple of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love my faith. I know I belong to the true church of God. Faith is a principle that leads to action. My faith leads me to follow Jesus Christ and keep his commandments. He has given me an example to follow, and as I strive to follow him, I feel a sense of peace and joy. I want to spread this peace and joy to all the world!
