Hi I'm Ann

I am 63 years old, I live in Magna Utah, I am a convert to the Church, am married with 4 daughters and 10 grandchildren.

About Me

I am married, for 43 years, have 4 daughters and 10 grandchildren, I work as an secretary at an elementary school. I have been member since 1976 and wouldn't change a thing about that decision. I love to work in the yard and go camping. The smell of the mountains brings be closer to the nature I love and brings God a little closer through His Creations

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the church by some people that I worked with. One of the girls gave me a book called "A Marvelous Work and a Wonder" I took the book home and starting reading it. My heart felt something I had never felt before. I have come to know it as the Holy Ghost testifying to me that what I was reading was true, because I live in Mormon country I went looking for some missionaries that could teach me . I have been so blessed in excepting the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. I know it is so true and the relationship you can build with God and Jesus Christ because of the teaching you will find no where else. To know that my family is forever, that there is no death do you part, is a marvelous thing. To have teachings on a sure foundation to raise your family and to continue to be an example to you grandchildren is a good thing. The world teaches you nothing of value, the Church teaches you everything you will ever need to get through this life and be happy. I know that the Book of Mormon is true once you give yourself a chance to read it and really want to know the truth it will share it with you. This is the true gospel.

How I live my faith

I love my faith it keeps me grounded and gives me purpose as to why I'm here on this earth. I see so many people trying to find a true purpose for themselves and they just don't know that there is a God and that we have a Savior who atoned for our shortcomings and gives us a chance to make our lives better by the great gift of repentance. I teach a class for the women of my ward and through this calling have been strengthened and has built my testimony of this gospel the gospel of Jesus Christ.. I know that it is true without any doubt which I feel is great thing in this world as it is at this time. The world is not a good place much of the time but the gospel gives much peace and a little bit of heaven in our lives as we can see what is really important in our lives.

What is the Relief Society?

This organization is a great group of women that meet every Sunday during our 3 hour block of meetings. We are taught and discuss gospel principles and how we can be better at following the Lord and being the examples our Father in heaven wants us to be. We learn to serve each other and those around us. We are taught to care for all people just not members of the Church. We are taught we are daughters of God who loves us and knows each of us by name and knows who we are. The gospel and its teachings become a way of life. And believe me when I tell you that it is a great life to lead. Relief Society teaches to be good moms, to teach our children the Godly things of life. Families are the most important creation that God has ever made. Just remember that our posterity is all that will be left when we leave this world, to carry on where we leave off. How we bring up our families is what will continue good or bad, I would prefer to leave this world knowing that I have left something good to continue Show more Show less
