Hi I'm Whitney Loder

I was born and raised in Utah and I come from a big family. I'm fascinated by people, I love to travel, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I come from a big family, so naturally family is one of the most important things to me. I love to read, write, go camping/boating, and watch movies. I recently graduated from high school and am postponing college to serve and LDS mission in Columbus, Ohio. I love history and English and hope to one day be a teacher of U.S. History. I currently work at a local family farm. Oh, and I'm probably the easiest person to make laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

When it comes down to it, the gospel of Christ and why I keep it in my life is quite simple. It makes me happy and I know it to be true so deeply in my heart that I cannot deny it. I have felt some of the lowest of lows and have had some pretty great disappointments and heartaches in my life, but the one thing that has never failed me is the pure love of Christ. I come from a large family, of which only one other sibling and his wife are totally active in the church and so I feel that I have struggled and fought for my testimony and have had many opportunities to let the gospel slip out of my life, and there were times when it did, but I had received a strong testimony and witness of the truthfulness of this gospel early on in my life and I could never fully let it go. This gospel is written on my heart and can never be wholly erased. I know that my Redeemer lives. I know He died for me and my sins, that I might be made whole and live again with Him and my Heavenly Father again. I know that this church is true and was restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith and that as he has helped bring forth the fullness of the gospel in this dispensation and that the keys to the Kingdom have been restored and passed down, even to today's true and living Prophet, Thomas S. Monson who is a Prophet, Seer, and Revelator in these latter days. I know that my Father in Heaven loves me and has a plan for me. I know that as I strive to do His will above my own and be obedient, faithful, and diligent, that I can return to Him with my family for all eternity. This gospel is one of simple truths based on love and remembrance. If we can but take hold of those two small and simple things, the rest will come in time and we need not fear, all we have to do is let Him in.

How I live my faith

I served as a second counselor for young women of my age group in my ward. As counselors we would meet at least once a month with our young women's leader to discuss and plan ideas for activities for the youth, as well as find ways to help girls to feel more welcome and included. It was great to serve so many beautiful young women and even though they would look up to me, I often found that they were the true examples.
