Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in California. I've competed in International Drumming Competitions and I'm a Biology Major. I"m a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Biology Major. While studying, I also perform with our Campuses Polynesian Drumming Ensemble as well as Shaka Steel (Steel Drum). Being a percussionist has always been my favorite genre of music, with my favorite category being marching percussion, I even competed internationally for competition. Through my life I've always played an instrument, or have taken a music class, I've even taught at a few High School when I was just 19. I love to laugh, have fun, and spend time with my friends. I love watching foreign movies, from the super corny flicks, to the laugh out loud comedies. I love playing video games like any other teen, from Kingdom Hearts to your Halo Epics.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I wanted to do good with my life. Going through life, especially as a teen, there was many distractions and downturns, and I wanted a better life for myself. I also wanted to help others, and by becoming LDS this was all possible. The Church serves as support as well as reinforcement for keeping ones body, soul, and mind clean. By being a member of the church you feel a special connection to individuals where you feel a need to help, to lend a hand, and do your service.

How I live my faith

In my college community I have two callings. I am a coordinator of our church for Monday activity/lesson meetings as well as Church Sunday lessons. Often I must read the church scriptures, daily logs, and conferences of our church leaders so I can apply them to my life, as well as help teach my community. I live my faith by being obedient to our church life style and standards. I take honor, and know of the importance of my church callings to help bring those in our church together, as well as spread the word of the Gospel.
